Sorry, I should have edited that post (I left a reference to Lampard on there when it was about Gerrard).

But on Lampard: he is a manager with a point to prove after losing his way. I like what he did at Derby and the team he put together at Chelsea.

Do you think he is ready Dave? I agree he did well at Derby and tried to do the right thing at Chelsea but he fell short in so many games. Losing 3-0 to Sheffield United springs to mind. It would be a massive risk.

I can’t see him being tempted at all but Conte as a coach is as impressive as they come.

He transformed Juve, Chelsea and Inter into slick footballing sides - all great to watch but require quality.

With a few top drawer additions and retaining our best players, he’s the best out of a job.
Like Ancelotti he has an impressive CV but realistically it is a CV totally unsuited our current position.
Top manager but wrong fit for us.

I wouldn't want nuno or moyes.......yes I believe they would bring a bit of stability in and that would be it. They are content with stability and don't think they have the will to go for it when needed.
Lampard I wouldn't mind. New to management but a good ethic and knows what is required to win. His inexperience thus far has shown but his style of play has been promising and something we have been craving for a long long time. Don't know too much about Rangnick but hasn't he been in and out of management and not exactly desparate to get back into it.
Gerard is a no no, rooney is a no no. Not too fussed on Howe or Potter.
I am swaying towards Lampard at the moment

Rangnick I know well, could be interesting if he would work with Brands as DoF, bearing in mind it's a title he has held several times himself.

But what do you know about Conceicao? Don't follow the Portuguese leagues- primarily because nowhere shows the matches over here.

Did very well in his first 2 seasons at Porto but was obliterated by Sporting this season

Sportings manager is Amorim whose my 2nd choice after Gallardo

Eddie howe it is then lad. I mean, why bother with ambition at all, right?
It's about getting the right manager not the bestest sounding name. It's small time to think getting us a big name expensive manager automatically makes us a top 4 club. Conte is a horrible fit for us. I understand why people say it given he's the biggest name but football doesn't work like that.

I don't know who is the answer but we are a team that will need to be a project and Conte is a horrible fit for that. If it was a Pochettino I'd say full steam because he's shown he's a long term manager who knows how to build a team

Emphasis on youth would be a plus like.
