He’s my favourite Everton player ever, but if you’re comparing him to Gerrard, who’s got that natural hunger, a winners mentality, who’s proven that he can do it, then Gerrard would be the choice for any other team.

The original poster I was referring to mentioned just getting Dunc in, like we did with Kendall.

my point was more football wasn’t as cut and dry as it is now, there was a good chance any of 10-12 clubs each season could make a run at the title or go down, now it’s predictable and we’d be eaten alive with Ferguson in charge, sadly.
