He’s dog S*** and who in their right mind would want to buy him. Then again go on Twitter after the match loads saying he’s the player we need. Even Gregg O’keefe said it ffs, you wouid at least thought that he would know better

Exactly we need to look at the French and German leagues and the championship for hungry dynamic players who see Everton as a step up. Too many of our players are arrogant fair weather types, who have taken a step down from being a squad player at a CL club. Who only step up now and again in the glamour games. They aren't arsed when it's tough when the pressure is on, there's a reason we never come back to win games lack of character...

His job isn't to score mate its to patrol the midfield and be boss and boss he is.

Goals need to come from the front 3 and maybe one of the three CM's.

For me I would buy a boss RW, hope Richarlison finds his scoring boots at LW and sign a top CM to sit in with Allan and give Doucoure licence to bomb forward and make those surges into the box which he currently cant do.

While you’re right and I’d imagine that was the remit for Brands. Getting Carlo moved the goal posts, he’s wants a few ready made players he bought 3 last, I’d imagine at least 2 this seasons. One maybe 30 one maybe 26.

But we ain’t signing 5/6 players all under 23 this summer. You don’t hire ancelotti and pay 11mil a season and do that, may as well not hired him
 
I can see why people would want Traore he has all the attributes but his final end product does leave a lot to be desired, He only has 7 goals in 140 apps.
Maybe it's one of them things where you put him in a better team he might produce better numbers but you'd be parting with a lot of money for a complete gamble.

The way Carlo has set up just
Doesn’t suit Doucoure, he’s needs to be in the oppositions half pressing them and using his power and energy to keep driving into the box.

Playing a low block and asking him to sit in his own half for most of the game is asking for trouble, I know some people want to see a goal scoring midfielder Brought in, I’d like to see two, but if it’s only one. A natural number 6 would fit more to the players we have. Allan likes to get after and the opposition and what I’ve just said regarding Doucoure.

Assuming DCL can get 12-15 next season if we can do the following we should have enough goals in us:

Richarlison - 10 -15
RW - 10-15
James rotating 4-5
Doucoure in an advanced role - 3-5
Back up striker - 5-7 goals

Thats over 40 goals minimum alone not including goals from the CB's, Fullbacks, penalties etc.

They key then is having a proper boss CM with energy and drive alongside Allan to help keep us as defensively sound as possible.

Holding CM
goal scoring RW
Creative RB
Solid CB
Reliable back up CF

Sign those 5 players and we are massively stronger.
 
I think a type of player in the mold of a tielemans is what we need, hes a true box to box midfielder can provide defensive solid coverage while offering offensive contributions that propel the team down the pitch. Its going to challenging but it's imperative. But also think we need another defensive midfielder because allan as hes had stellar games his injury record is worrisome and he does have a tendency to get completely bypassed by pacey players.
