Everton Summer transfers 2021

I think you severely overestimate Davies. Wasn't he literally the slowest player in the league or near there last year?
I dunno, I think he does a decent job closing people down, he gets about, maybe not at great pace, but he gives us energy, same with Doucs.

The thing is, the players that are "likely" to leave are Gomes, Iceberg, Delph, wishful thinkingly.

Davies, Allan, Doucs, Gmblammo would probably stay, maybe I do overestimate them, but I know that none of them can pick a pass and contribute to creativity.

Thats what I think we need.

Im not saying we dont need to add a pacey right fullback or even a LW/RW/ST with a burst, im not against pace, I just think the most important thing we need to add is somebody who can really pass a ball.

I do like watching ElPivote/Andy on those shows...saw another chap on 'the mighty blues' the other day...

But check the dates i posted about Guimaraes and Kamara and you'll see ive mentioned them a long, long time before them...

If we had £100mil to spend this summer then what would you spend on defence/midfield/attack ?

We need to have a strong foundation to be able to play higher up the pitch...for me, id spend £100mil on RB / CB / DM.

If we buy forwards i dont think it will make much difference while were camped out in our own box sitting deep without the qualities to bring the ball forwards.
60 million winger 20 million center midfielder 20 million rb
Zero million on cb

Theres not many young strikers with world class potential at the moment though (bar Haaland and Mbappe)....perhaps Vlahovic at Fiorentina.

Think he will end up at City, but just in case, Brands please!

Good morning. He'd be a good choice for more firepower upfront. Could actually play DCL up top with Richarlison left and Vlahovic right as inside forwards cutting in on their favoured foot.

The more experienced and cheaper version is Belotti as a rotation for DCL.

If we sell Kean then we'd need to add £20mil ish for Vlahovic while Belotti is available at £25mil.

I think we'll use the Kean money on a right sided wide player though.

The best players have pace and technique.

Adama Traore has pace and no technique.

Most of our players have neither which is the problem.

No one wants to buy a headless chicken who runs quickly but equally a team of slow tricky players can get dominated by a team that presses well.

We need a team that can play with the ball and also get it back when they lose it. We struggle to do both due to the profile of players in the squad which is why Carlo has to set us up the way he does for us to get any points whatsoever.
Remember Tony Daley at Villa? To this day I have never seen a player with his pace, but the amount of times he would get to the corner flag then balloon the ball or pass it to nobody. It must have been so frustrating as a Villa fan watching him skin every defender, while knowing in your heart that it was all for nothing

Brands in a Russian paper...

For now, however, Kvaratskhelia is not a name on the Toffees’ wish-list.

“These are all rumours. The agent just sent me his name yesterday asking if he was of interest to us,” says Brands, the man credited with unearthing Hirving Lozano, Dries Mertens and Sergio Romero during his time in the Eredivisie.
