The fella Bissouma is decent, but he offers us nothing we need, we need somebody who knows how to use a football, not somebody who runs and tackles.

I dont think posession based football suits clubs outside of the elite who cant afford the most talented players like City can.

For me at home we are best being more direct playing faster football which gets the fans going whereas the tippy tappy just kills the atmosphere.

Away from home pretty much as we have been this season but with more pace and energy in the middle to press/win the ball and a pacey right hand side to give us more of a threat when attacking on the counter.

A rejuvenated Richarlison would massively improve us going forward on its own.

Add Franck Kessie in there and thats a very solid midfield.

Check out Boubacar Kamara at Marseille and Guimaraes at Lyon. Thats the stuff that dreams are made of.

Our problems are clearly not defensive.

I didn't say we conceded for fun, I said teams walked through us with ease. There had been a ton of matches where teams just walked through our defense and had one on ones with Pickford or Olsen but for them just completely ballesed it up. And, I know, all teams/players do that. I honestly think a lot of our record this year was a MASSIVE amount of luck to not be blown away. I said this about 4 months+ ago as well.

Personally, I think we defend quite well, sure we concede chances to teams, but as you say, thats quite normal.

If your telling me we can improve our defence, then I agree, we can improve everything, but if you tell me improving our defence should take priority over improving creating and scoring goals, I will disagree.

The discussion was about whether we need a player like Bissouma, who has scored 1 goal all season, I personally think we need a different type of player.

I would rather take my eyeballs out with a spork than prioritize our defense rather than attacking. We at LEAST have a semblance of defending. There are probably 11-13 YO sides that have been better than we have had.

I do like watching ElPivote/Andy on those shows...saw another chap on 'the mighty blues' the other day...

But check the dates i posted about Guimaraes and Kamara and you'll see ive mentioned them a long, long time before them...

If we had £100mil to spend this summer then what would you spend on defence/midfield/attack ?

We need to have a strong foundation to be able to play higher up the pitch...for me, id spend £100mil on RB / CB / DM.

If we buy forwards i dont think it will make much difference while were camped out in our own box sitting deep without the qualities to bring the ball forwards.
