Yeah but it isn't that far fetched mate to think Chelsea might not sell us the player who had a good loan every time and that would make it a bad deal for us.

The thing with Doucoure is, he should be used to get into the box as a third-man runner (his goals this season prove that).

He's not great on the ball, so it's so frustrating to see him collecting the ball off the defence (because nobody else is doing it maybe). Literally all he should be doing is winning it back, popping it off, and driving forward into space. That's what he's good at and with our quality (loosely) out wide in Digne, James even Gylfi etc, we should be able to get him into those positions.

As much as it's on the individual players to take the initiative, I can't help but feel it's again showing up Carlo to be a bit clueless with how to get the best out of what limited options we have in that department. Doucoure has spent as much time at right-back this season as he has attacking midfield.

It's because we have no legs anywhere else he has been tasked with multiple roles. If we had another box to box or physically dominating DM he could be freed up more?

They have way more appeal than us. We may have finished above them in recent seasons but they've actually won things and made Europe more than us in the last 5 or so years. To a foreign player, Ancellotti aside, we're nobodies.

Massive gamble which could work. Not one I'd want to take though at the price Spurs would demand.
