A big problem with the rip it up and start again is that the only solution that will get all the fans behind them is the one that shows results right away and even with that there'd be muttering and complaining as soon as a bad patch or bad season happened, and there's no magic fix out there that guarantees that

No matter the choice of next manager, the same fans would be out for blood when we fail to start well, go on a bad run or lose those key games we love losing.

It's why I believe, that If you are ever going to have some patience with a manager and grin and bear it when we are crap, it's with the current one
100% there, but the complete partizan attitude from just a few weeks ago has been shown up for what it was.

People refused to criticise him, or even question some decisions. You can't do it. We can't God fear him because so far he's guided us to 12th, and we'll honestly be lucky to finish above Leeds and Arsenal, when we'd got ourselves into a fantastic position initially.

So yes, I give him plenty of credit, but there's a fair few doubts now.

Let's hope better players come in. Let's hope they're done quickly - there's no excuse not to because we know exactly what we need.

Well I have no doubts, and am looking forward to next season

Coming soon to the part of the year I enjoy.
The season is over and the transfer window is about to open.
Excitement being linked with and signing players.
Build up confidence going in to a new season.
Reality then kicks in.

Fair enough. I think that's blind faith, really do, with little substance to back it up. We can play one way, and it's pretty crap and won't get us results against most teams in the league. I hope three or four players is all we need to change that but I'd be very surprised, so I think more is needed from the manager.

I think it is mate yes. The bigger concern is that we are not a top team.

I actually think if he had better players a lot of the intricate clever things he does would look great. But currently it just looks quite foolish in these home games.

Fair enough mate - myself personally I cant help but feel like we'll spend £100 million this summer on largely more slow tippy tappy possession based players that dont know how to make a forward pass with a manager who constantly tinkers with the side/formation and doesn't have them physically fit/disciplined enough to hold our own over the 38 games of the season.

I think Spurs did the right thing in sacking Jose despite him being one of my favourite managers but I worry we'll hold on even if next season is another bust as its now Carlo FC.

I mean, you’re allowed to have reservations about signing a 31 year old when our current right back is 32 and can’t move.
Of course, but the fact Simeone picks him tells me he’s at a certain level.
Seamus has had bad injuries in his career, was better going forward than defending IMO so time has caught up with him.

Its a fine line, go for youth and try to develop or try experienced players who might improve the XI quicker. I know the second option hasn’t worked out too well for us historically, but I think some positions you can get away with the latter.

I think goalkeeper is one of those positions, probably centre back too and even maybe centre forward. I certainly don’t think full back is one of them in this league, in this day and age. We would be having to replace him next summer.
