No. The cleetus inmates voted out the labour lcouncil twenty years ago. Now they have a tiry council spending millions replacing roundabouts with traffic lights, causing congestion. Permenant roadworks cost a fortune - one essential roundabout was shut for 2 and a half years for remodelling before being reopened almost exactly the same but with traffic lights (I'm convinced this is a typical tory "give jobs to your mate's business for a quiet kickback' routine). Town centre is shut because the council won't charge reasonable rents, parking exorbitant, potholes everywhere, 3 hour queues at the tiny tip, historic buildings regularly flattened or left derelict, schools underfunded, local education authority failing ofsted, head of the council paid more than the PM, high council tax......
EVERYBODY complains shut the council ALL THE TIME, but then vote the same corrupt brainless oafs back in! Frankly they deserve what they get. I moved out of Swindon 16 years ago to live in a boat over the council border. Best move I ever did.

I was at the cup game in 1976/77 and the cheeky sods included the following in the match programme talking about a previous match between the 2 sides in 1963.
"One more reference to the day .On that evening we had some unpleasant visitors and several of our supporters lost there money and wallets so please be warned"
I was quite offended at the time until at half time it came over the loud speaker that people should beware as there has been another spate of pickpocketing.
