Gomes has definitely been the biggest disappointment of any of our recent signings. He has the ability but doesn't seem to have the heart (or mental strength).

The others were just bad signings.

He definitely has shortcomings in the ability section. It isn't all about just wanting it. Being able to tackle players dribbling at you is a skill, positioning is a skill, everything he lacks in the final third is a skill.
