ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Hhhmmm

#If the bottom 6 had done it, Id agree with you. This is the other end of the scale though

Im of the thinking that all rule breakers will get punished, no matter what club it is.

United broke the same rules as the other 5, and also broke a rule with the game being off. Hence, 2 punishments.

Surely thats correct.

I also agree with their protest, but NOT the attacking of police.

Fans, ALL fans need to drop this whataboutery, and all trying to take the moral high-ground. Whats is wrong, is wrong.

It has gone VERY quiet on the punishment front. Like boz and his dodgy dealings, it may well just disappear.

I hope not mate, and just hope they are trying to deal with it.

I've had a red today at my office buidling agree they shoul be punished....but he wants more points to be take off City because "it would not affect them as much it would us" madness, this was a top Financial advisor, in his 50's, has his own large business....and thats his football view on it.

Tony Evan's arguing with people on Twitter again about his two favourite subjects, Heysel and Hillsborough. Is this guy a serious journalist or some fat fella who just drinks all day then goes on Twitter?

What on earth has gone on there?

They all seem to be calling each other liars around the subject of the Hillsborough. Can't they just be respectful around the tragedy and not start offering each other out on the incident? Weird responses to be honest. I'd say a few of them need to lay off the sauce a bit.

What happened the time Bryan Robson withdrew Boro from a game because he had hardly any fit first teamers?

Was the game awarded to the opposition?

The post he was replying to has been deleted.

I wonder what it said.

Apparently some idiot was having a go at him for his recollection of the events. Very odd and out of order in my opinion.

People who have gone through traumatic situations will often have recollections of events that may seem a little unusual. It's part of the PTSD really.

I can take or leave the guy, but people shouldn't be having a pop at him for his recollection of the day in my view.

I see a lot of Liverpool fans having a go at hom because he wrote for the Times as well. I'll assume these people don't have a Sky subscription then? This holier than thou moralism seems very odd to me.

Yep. Totally different.

There is an issue here though. I'm certain the fans will try to disrupt the next game as well. The club will need to be on it's guard to ensure fans cannot get into the ground.

I can't see in a million years United being docked point or the game not being played though. It's one of the top games for the PL and cancelling it will not be seen as apporopriate for the broadcasters.

Not sure what can be done really. I mean, keeping folk out of the ground should be straight forward, (there were not that many in it), but until the Glazers either change, (ok mate), or leave, (again, ok mate), this wont go away.

edit. Sake, its the RS thread. Soz.

Can we therefore have the three points from the City game please when we were ready to play and City (through their own fault) had the match postponed. Surely if United get docked points for an incident they couldn’t control then every team that has had a game rearranged through Covid would be in the appeals court straight away.
