You cannot play with a midfield that's so open. It's simple stuff. Davies gets slated, and fairly so at times, but there's a reason why we've looked more 'solid' (loosely speaking) with him in the team - he usually just sits in that spot and keeps disciplined.

We've got a bloke in Allan who wants to press around and hassle and dive in, and then another one in Gomes who can't run, tackle, pass or control the ball.
