This should be remembered for the few that are saying this was orchestrated to end this way. All it’s done is shown who really has the power, and it isn’t the owners of these clubs despite a massive power play.

UEFA don’t need to pander to these clubs. The co-efficient qualification has been put in place because UEFA want it, not because they have been forced to. Any increased CL prize money will still go to the likes of West Ham and Leicester should they qualify for CL.

There’s no way that this was a ruse orchestrated to fail in this manner. They have simply just bottled it after a whole load of chest thumping.

There have been talks of expanding the CL and giving qualifying spots to teams based on longer term measures than even coefficient. All of it should be scrapped.
