You all trying to compare this to an American sports league... the glory hunter league is far worse than anything we have over here. At least there’s an attempt to give everyone a fair chance to compete in the NBA with a draft, salary cap, free agency, etc.

ESL a smokescreen for the awful new CL format? No one will question it because it’s ‘better’ than the ESL. Planned this way all along.

They totally underestimated the uproar, now they are going have to live with the consequences of their betrayal and I sure hope the punishment is harsh. These 12 clubs deserve nothing but be shamed for their greed.

The Bundesliga may not be the most competitive, but for the fans its far better than our own: affordable and relatively good football; great atmosphere; stable.

But thats the beauty of it - Newcastle fans were dreaming it was there turn with the Saudi's we can dream with Carlo and Usmanov at the club.

Fan ownership puts an end to that dream - clubs like Utd and RS with massive global revenue will always dominate forevermore.

No more Man City or Chelsea's.

Its a great idea but it only works if all 20 clubs started off on an equal footing when the top 6 sides automatically have massive revenue streams to give them a leg up.
 

I hope the other ESL clubs refuse to let them leave. Make them look worse.

Chelsea still need punishing. European ban and relegation.

But I want all the dirt to be dished and these clubs to never recover.

I wouldn't call "have a mega-billionaire or actual oil state buy the team to be competitive" the ideal system
