Champions League revamp

I'm a bit of a romantic and I'm still one of the few who look forward to international competition but do you think this is much of a threat ?
I'm asking in genuine faith as I remember the time when all eyes where on internationals and not so much as an annoyance .
I know Richarlison and most of the South American players genuinely do care about internationals but do the Europeans or Africans ?
I don't remember Spur's Son being particularly enthused about playing for his national side .

Son is pretty much a national hero in S.Korea.

His sponsorships would go up in smoke if he wasnt playing in internationals.

'Becks' / 'Rio' and others wouldnt have had Japanese fans (a huge amount of them) so sponsorships would have dropped in at least that market.

Individually World Cup winners from France/Spain etc wouldnt have been gaining certain sponsorships...

Remember, a huge number of Asian fans follow players due to them first seeing them in internationals and then following the teams they play for.

No internationals = less exposure for players = less money / fans.

Shots fired....

...no, thats a cannonball fired at Anfield.

Its the old right wing capitalist play book condensed the RS are spewing " you workers are just jealous of billionaires and wish you where one. If you only worked hard enough you too would be a billionaire".

Here is Pep saying he found out a few hours before the release of the statement on the website and no one was spoken clearly about the details to him and he is in the same position.

Seems to be a civil war brewing for them (And all of these clubs tbf) between their 'Legacy' fans and the non-local glory supporters.
We still go the match and we’ve been crap for years.
Our attendances would stand up even if relagated.
City’s would as they were in the lower leagues for years.

The mighty Spurs wouldn’t even half fill that new ground I’d suggest.

Pep sitting firmly on the fence here.

EDIT: Ah, and just as I say that he's basically just confirmed that he doesn't like it.

Well I never knew that.

There was a big kick off, wasn’t there, when they were in talks to move to a site just off Battersea Power Station, that they wouldn’t let them use the name “Chelsea”, they’d have to pick a new name, as they were against the side leaving Stamford Bridge.

I wish pep would stop saying "its just a statement" thought he was better than that. Gone way down in my estimation. Anyone with intelligence knows what this is about.
