Surely the bigger issue is that Lucas Digne just did get a new contract. We've just committed to paying him £100k a week for the next 4 years, so if the income drops significantly one year into that, we're deep in the doodoo. It's all very well saying it'll settle down a couple of years, but it might not be very easy to get through those years, particularly with a wage bill like ours and no guarantees of matchday income any time soon.

Agreed - Perez said it's binding last night; if that is shown to be incorrect it could well be over.
If UEFA/FIFA follow through on their threats to effectively outlaw the ESL and their players, it won't be a particularly exciting prospect for players. They'll miss out on World Cups, continental championships and genuine football careers. It could quickly become a home for pre-retirement players and mercenaries.
It's all about winning over there, and losing has no consequence.
What do you get if you're crap in the States? The best picks or the best trades (since you have the best picks).
The model works for those US Sports, but it doesn't work over here and never, ever will.
I'd be surprised if they are all tied in.
I would imagine it will be tiered, and some teams could be tied in more than others if that makes sense.
