Winning the English PL is impressive.

Don’t get me wrong, Leicester winning it was far more impressive, as they didn’t spend 140m on a goalkeeper and a defender to do it, but you begrudgingly have to give them a bit of credit, especially as they would have won it the season before comfortably in a normal year without that outstanding Man City side.

So 1st and 2nd and a CL isn’t a bad return over 3 years.

Would it be as good as winning the PL 3 years out of 4 as well as a domestic treble in that timeframe

Ifs, buts, maybes, none of it matters. If Benzema and Vinicius had scored their sitters then it would’ve been 5-1 on aggregate. We can only deal in the facts of the matter, and the facts are that they got knocked out in the quarter finals. Also you predicted they’d win the away leg 3-0.

Fine margins. That Salah chance goes in and they more than likely blow Madrid away in the first half. It doesn’t though and it was Madrid’s night. Let’s hope a few teams can blunt them in the last 7 games and they can enjoy europa league football next season.

They really don't mate. Real Madrid just go up the other end and score, as they threatened to all night. Without making any effort to score, Madrid made the best 2 chances of the game, and came the closest to scoring. That was in 2nd gear, making no effort to get a goal.

Had they wanted too, they would have stuck 2 or 3 past Liverpool in quick succession like they did in the 1st leg,

I know it's not a vintage Madrid team, in fact it's one of the worst in living memory, missing all their key players, but they are still miles too good for a peak Liverpool team.

Liverpool are not blowing anyone away at home this season. It's like 2 goals in open play in 4 months. The game was lost in Madrid.
