They really don't mate. Real Madrid just go up the other end and score, as they threatened to all night. Without making any effort to score, Madrid made the best 2 chances of the game, and came the closest to scoring. That was in 2nd gear, making no effort to get a goal.
Had they wanted too, they would have stuck 2 or 3 past Liverpool in quick succession like they did in the 1st leg,
I know it's not a vintage Madrid team, in fact it's one of the worst in living memory, missing all their key players, but they are still miles too good for a peak Liverpool team.
Liverpool are not blowing anyone away at home this season. It's like 2 goals in open play in 4 months. The game was lost in Madrid.
