ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

John Henry was a commodity trader, no? Wonder if he ever dabbled in oil? Would be interesting to find out. Because market trading has no ethical difficulties at all lol

Almost certain he would have either longed or shortes oil at some stage.

Obviously it wont be unethical if a white person makes money from oil, for the racist fanbase. Only wrong of someone not white makes money from oil.

I think he wanted to go out. He knows he has to get top 4, he probably didn’t fancy his chances of winning the CL and the extra semi final games might have disrupted the league form. His interview afterwards was telling. They have to get top 4.
Even finishing top 4, they will not qualify if results in the Europa lge go against them.

But they didn’t win it and in fact didn’t even come close.

Fine margins. That Salah chance goes in and they more than likely blow Madrid away in the first half. It doesn’t though and it was Madrid’s night. Let’s hope a few teams can blunt them in the last 7 games and they can enjoy europa league football next season.

You basically had Liverpool in the final when the draw was made and a ball hadn’t been kicked. You then said the tie was “over” in Liverpool’s favour after the first leg finished 3-1 because they’d scored an away goal. That was an unbelievable overreaction.

As unbelievable as claiming Madrid were going to win 6-1 on aggregate? It didn’t go their way this time but anyone thinking that first half of the second leg was comfortable is being revisionist. Madrid were all over the place for the first 20 mins and the last 10 mins and if they’d finished the slightest bit better Liverpool could have come in 2 or 3 up easily. They’re starting to play better now so yeah if they had made it through to the semi finals it’s not a wild claim to say they’d have fancied themselves to win it when the other three have one CL between them.

Think there’d have to be a very unlikely scenario of Chelsea winning the CL and not finishing top 4, plus Arsenal winning the Europa for it to happen. Can’t see either as likely to occur but you never know.

Ifs, buts, maybes, none of it matters. If Benzema and Vinicius had scored their sitters then it would’ve been 5-1 on aggregate. We can only deal in the facts of the matter, and the facts are that they got knocked out in the quarter finals. Also you predicted they’d win the away leg 3-0.

Why are you bothering? The bloke lives in an alternative universe.

If these miss top 4 then I suspect there will be some very itchy trigger fingers in downtown Boston. If Klopp goes back to what he was doing a few months ago, when he was giving soundbites about wanting new players but not having any money, he will be pitting himself against the owners. There is only one winner in that scenario and it won't be Harold. They unceremoniously jibbed Dalglish despite him winning a trophy a few months prior. Rodgers got the bullet within 18 months of finishing second. I honestly can't see Klopp seeing out his contract.

Klopp reminds me of one of those race horse trainers that couldn’t care less about the horses welfare or future.
He absolutely runs his horses into the ground for the sake of winning in the here and now.
Klopp does the same with his players, there’ll be a few who will be crippled in their 40s and 50s.
All that happy juice, the break neck sprints, playing through injury’s, it will all take its toll and he couldn’t care less.
