My personal take is that he knew injuries meant he had one last chance for a big pay day and that’s why he behaved so abhorrently to get that Chelsea move

We’d been treating him and were never going to offer him what they did because we knew just how bad the injury was. He just hasn’t been the same since

Maybe so, but I get the feeling as well he thought he was too good for us had outgrew us. Think also Koeman obviously to me anyway had little time for him and after Martinez being the exact opposite, was maybe too much for him to take.
