Nope, and that’s disappointing.

Why are so many pretending that "we gave a good account of ourselves" then? I thought we were way too negative all game, that was a quarter final at home in the cup for crying out loud.

Can’t complain with the effort there - my only gripe is our use of the ball sometimes- as good as they you can get at them on the break but we only managed a couple of crisp passing moves the whole match

I wasn't expecting us to win this game but it is disheartening to have lost it the last 10 minutes.

Still proud of our Blues they gave it their best we just came a short.

I agree to an extent because I’ve seen supposedly worse Everton sides give city more of a game than this. Yeah they are the best in the country but our lack of service to the front two is somewhat worrying and replicates what we have seen quite a bit this season.

After all the money we’ve spent and all the changes to the squad and management over the years, we’re still having to basically choose between attacking and defending. Especially sickening when you see the dream team of Moyes and West Ham showing us how it’s done!

Season isn’t over yet though. Just having my periodic Evertonian sulk!

Rather go down fighting with intent than watch another of these overly negative displays in which we showed no attacking intent. There is a difference between gung ho against them and at least making an effort to put their goal under pressure.
