Who'd have thought trying to play through the middle of the pitch with Holgate as your only outlet on the right hand side wouldn't work, absolutely mental that.

Getting sick to death of this obsession with binning off wide players when we are too crap to actually play through any team and rely heavily on goals from crosses.

Actually feel a bit for Iwobi, only player who looked useful for 25 minutes and has been crap since but benefits the team more having better balance out wide.

Minus James and Douc, this lot are sinking back to the same motley crew who stunk the place out for the end season post lockdown last summer.
Unless we get back into this, we could well repeat that over the coming weeks. Big half time and next 45 needed.

It was a 4-3-1-2, which is, can we just categorically state this now, absolutely not a system that our squad is currently capable of playing. It's far too predictable and to work it needs powerful midfielders who have composure on the ball, and also two flying full-backs to offer the width.

It resulted in Burnley being able to play one or two passes to completely stretch us and that's where they got the chances from, combined with us playing our way into trouble. Allan is wasted as the 6, too, and isn't disciplined enough to play the role.

We've switched now to a 4-2-2-2 which has helped, but we're still wide open in the middle of the park.
Iwobi and dinge used to whip the ball in first time. Thats now stopped. I can't see how we have improved. I think we can take this but as usual we don't seem confident

That move which ended in a simple save for Virginia was fantastic, but it came from Burnley FFS!! Can’t remember the last time we looked so fluid
