Ajax are financially more stable then most of the European clubs so they would ask for the best price for their key players.
We could turn the players head in terms of wages because we would dwarf what they get at Ajax however if no one else is really going for that player, we are left with a Sigurdsson situation, when we have to pay their asking price.
Realistically both Antony and Gravenberch would fetch €30-45m so perhaps look at a cheaper but relatively similar players
Antony:
21 yrs - 32 games: 9 goals / 10 assists
Contract - June 2025
ALTERNATIVELY
Noni Madueke: PSV - €20/25m
18 yrs - 25 games: 9 goals / 8 assists
Contract - June 2024
Gravenberch:
18 yrs - 32 games: 4 goals / 4 assists
Contract - June 2023
ALTERNATIVELY
Ejaria: Reading - £10/15m
23 yrs - 29 games: 2 goals / 5 assists
Contract - June 2024
If we get Champions League/Europa, we could splash more cash and we have to go for Gravenberch because he is ready now and he would be perfect next to Allan and Doucoure.
Antony walks into our team, different type to Madueke (cant tell if hes more Kenwyne Jones or Adebayor) who would be a squad player at best to start off...
Ejaria i dont know, only seen youtube clips of Olise at Reading as hes the one highly touted...otherwise Ejaria is a RS dropout it seems?
Comparing him with Gravenberch, again theres not really a comparison im seeing other than signing worse players at cheaper prices?
If the fees were €30-45mil for Antony and Gravenberch then those two with Aarons and id be thrilled...a Camavinga signing would be the icing on the cake for me.
Whatever happens, i do think we need to be focused on these potential 'world class' players if we have the chance...
Antony was bought by Ajax last summer for 15.75 mil euro. Gravenberch is on a longterm contract as well. Overmars is a very tough negotiator and Ajax is one of the wealthiest clubs in Europe. They have equity of around 228 mil euro. Like I said, they usually dont sell their prized assets cheap. But we'll see. I certainly hope that when they leave Ajax, they will join Everton (especially Gravenberch).
Slightly concerned spending crazy money on players from Dutch league. Klaasen was terrible and the lad at United isn't exactly pulling up trees?Antony walks into our team, different type to Madueke (cant tell if hes more Kenwyne Jones or Adebayor) who would be a squad player at best to start off...

I totally agree but with both Klaassen en Van de Beek loads of people already had doubts about their abilities. Although I do think Van de Beek has some potential. But keep in mind Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt are also from the Dutch league. Antony, Ihattaren and Gravenberch are much bigger talents then Klaassen and Van de Beek ever were.Slightly concerned spending crazy money on players from Dutch league. Many of these great Dutch prospects can be stars elsewhere, but chances to adapt/succeed seem higher with moves to Spain or Italy than the EPL. Don't mind us taking chances to break the mold, but I'd rather look at english clubs/academies for the next Stones, Godfrey, & Holgate or South America (we seem to have some recruiting credibility in Columbia and Brazil which is working).I totally agree but with both Klaassen en Van de Beek loads of people already had doubts about their abilities. I think we should be cautious buying from the Dutch league after Klassen. Furthermore look at Danny van der beek at united.Antony walks into our team, different type to Madueke (cant tell if hes more Kenwyne Jones or Adebayor) who would be a squad player at best to start off...

Was only a matter of time really.should we have gone for Lingard? the Way he’s performed at West Ham he could well have helped us move to the next level. He’s better than I thought he was, loads on here didn’t want him. But he would walk instantly into our midfield.
Lingard is MASSIVELY outperforming at the moment. There was absolutely nothing in his previous body of work to suggest he could string together several decent performances in one season, so it would have been a very unpopular move. Frankly I'm amazed Moyes is getting a tune out of him.should we have gone for Lingard? the Way he’s performed at West Ham he could well have helped us move to the next level. It was pretty obvious Klaassen would flop.
I took some stick in here saying i didnt think hed work out...
VDB on the other hand i thought maybe he'll be good...maybe not.
As @Evermaarton comparing those two to the ones weve mentioned is like comparing dragon fruit with durian...
