If we get champions league then i think he'll return as he'll be getting alot of game time.

Id say from the list Aarons looks to be ideal for us + Wamangituka's goals look Aubameyang-esque...

Both u21 as well which helps in the long term.

Im hoping that the big signing is in Centre midfield
Kean ain’t coming back, even if we get champions league. Didn’t settle, and got subbed off as a sub by Dunc. Biggest slap in the face ever.
His agent will make sure he ain’t here next year. He will have clout too, because we will likely need him for the standard of players we are looking to bring in.

I keep saying, numbers-wise we are fine.

Now we clearly lack a right back and a backup Striker, that's quite glaring, even more so if we assume that King wont be retained.

Depth of course is another issue, we have Delph, Gmblammo and LOL, Besic who, well, they haven't been with us. So ideally you would be looking to offload Delph and Besic and replace them. Then another body will really depend on Gmblammo, hopefully before the end of the season we get more of an answer.

I know Gomes and Gyfi have their knockers, but, they would stay in my squad.

So then widers wise, Rico is probably a Striker at this point, so that leaves us with a sadly injury-prone Hamez, so for sure we need more quality there.

For me, the bare min this window we need to add a Right Back and a backup Striker, 1 not named Martin Braithwaite,

Then we need to replace the 2 players who haven't contributed for the last 2 seasons and no, not Gmblammo, cos hes not yet for the bin, not yet.

For a non-European season I think that would be enough, Europa we would need 1 or 2 more and for CL we would need 3 or 4 more.

So for me we must buy RB, ST, CM, RW and ship Delph, at the very min.

Then try and 1 In 1 Out other players, like Bernard, Iwobi and possibly 1 of Gomes and Iceberg, *gasp*.

I really like Andre, but his up and down form, coupled with his laid back style will never catch on here and I just think ideally we need 2 CMs, 1 defensive and 1 offensive, but if given the choice I would pick a door unlocker number 8 over a tackle merchant number 6.

TL DR everybody is for sale apart from Keane, Godfrey, DCL, Rico, Digne, Allan and Doucs.
Pretty much agree with this. I think we will probably keep King so the strikers become DCL, Richarlison and King. Simms may be getting close to the fourth spot after his loan? Who knows? I suspect it’s still a step too far.

To me it is wide players where we need to improve the options.

Gordon should come back from Preston with more experience, so he may fill one position. If he isn’t ready this time, he may get sold. However, I think we need at least one more top quality right sided attacker.

The RB requirement almost goes without saying. However, as well as first choice RB, we should be looking for a younger player to understudy like Nkounkou.

Your CM analysis is spot on.

Makes such a change to be linked to these Real Madrid players such as Isco. Remember the days when the links were Lee Trundle and the like...

De Jong and De Ligt were playing in europe a while before they moved and were well known players.

Antony and Gravenberch havent been capped yet...

You may be right but id have said £30-35mil for them...
Antony was bought by Ajax last summer for 15.75 mil euro. Gravenberch is on a longterm contract as well. Overmars is a very tough negotiator and Ajax is one of the wealthiest clubs in Europe. They have equity of around 228 mil euro. Like I said, they usually dont sell their prized assets cheap. But we'll see. I certainly hope that when they leave Ajax, they will join Everton (especially Gravenberch).

And that’s under the assumption that Pickford keeps his current form up til the end of the season...

... 1 more big error between now and the end of the season and GK flies right to the top of the priority list for me.

Yes, i posted when Ajax had the deal agreed that he could be one to watch.

It was £13mil rising to £18mil in GBP at the time...€15.75mil rising to €22mil.

Id be quite surprised if they didnt take £35mil as that gives them €25.5mil profit on a €15.75mil player in a really short period.

Like you said though, a much higher fee and i wouldnt be surprised for him or Gravenberch.

Just been looking to see how Joshua Zirkzee is getting on at Parma since his January move. He's played 35 minutes as a sub and another sub appearance where he wasn't brought on. Been out the last fortnight with a lower back problem.

Ajax are financially more stable then most of the European clubs so they would ask for the best price for their key players.

We could turn the players head in terms of wages because we would dwarf what they get at Ajax however if no one else is really going for that player, we are left with a Sigurdsson situation, when we have to pay their asking price.

Realistically both Antony and Gravenberch would fetch €30-45m so perhaps look at a cheaper but relatively similar players

Antony:
21 yrs - 32 games: 9 goals / 10 assists
Contract - June 2025

ALTERNATIVELY

Noni Madueke: PSV - €20/25m
18 yrs - 25 games: 9 goals / 8 assists
Contract - June 2024

Gravenberch:
18 yrs - 32 games: 4 goals / 4 assists
Contract - June 2023

ALTERNATIVELY

Ejaria: Reading - £10/15m
23 yrs - 29 games: 2 goals / 5 assists
Contract - June 2024

If we get Champions League/Europa, we could splash more cash and we have to go for Gravenberch because he is ready now and he would be perfect next to Allan and Doucoure.
