Think its safe to say he wont be our right back as soon as Mina or Coleman are fit.He is getting a fair bit of stick for playing out of postion but it does show he will not be our right back next season as he hasn't got the skill set. Thing is I doubt he will be CB either with Godfrey, Keane and Mina being well ahead of him. Would he be content in being a squad player or will he want to try his luck elsewhere.
3 clean sheets before today, I suppose hes struggling with whats required at full back, he was caught out for their first, but if he pushed on, it was down to Iwobi to pick up his man, who was Alonso.
Only us footballistas understand mate.I don't understand why Holgate is getting the blame, he did his job going to his man, Alonso was Iwobi's and he let him go.
That’s how I saw it.... iwobi went to press the ball and Alonso ran in behind ... holgate could have put a bit more effort in to track that to be honestI thought Iwobi was fronting the player that Holgate lost so if Iwobi went with alonso who would taken care of the player Holgate lost. Holgate main problem was a jog back when he had full vision of what was happening. Both at fault but the jog back was unforgiving
Not been great at CB either tbh. He’s been one of the weakest in the side all season. Not good enough for at the moment.
Yes we finished 12th different animal this year.I'll repeat...he won players player of the year and young player of the year last season playing centre back.
He's not playing consistently out of position at the moment.
Was badly exposed tonight ... didn’t help having iwobi in front of him but was a very tough test tonight which sadly found him wanting at times, he won’t come up against that quality every week so will have better games and continue to grow as a player.
