Thats what people dont realise - you could spend £50 million on a Raphina type whos proven in the league or spend £25-30 million on a player from abroad who may work out or may be a flop like Tosun.
If the money is there get in proven players imo.
Yeah but also you could spend 15 mil and take a punt on a young aged player from another league, you would think with all the data the clubs got, and scouts, we should be pulling out regular good players from other leagues to sell, Leicester do it the best.
Cause we’re talking about moneyWhy would we want to sell them? Why not keep our best players?
Just to play devils advocate a little, but I see Raphina and Sarr as very similar, but one is very much "flavour of the month". If Watford don't come up, Sarr will likely be available for circa 20m ish you'd think. Surely that deal makes more sense?
If he doesn't sign a contract and it can be done, I'd be all over your man Ings as well.12 months on a deal, you might get him for around £10m. Essentially buying people at under their value. Getting him, King and Sarr with change for £40m makes a little of sense to me, and could even be paid for from the profit of the Kean deal if all goes well.
Looking at footballers solely in the Prem, If the dough is there I like the look of:
Ings (CF)
Raphina (RW)
Tete (RB)
Would say Wilf but sadly that ship looks to have sailed.
Mate, Raphina is just flavour of the month, he isn't proven in anyway shape or form. He has had 5 clubs in 5 years and this is his best showing so far and he is hardly ripping up trees if you look at his numbers. For the money being spoken about id be horrified if we can't find someone better. Also i don't really get these constant shouts for signing a RW when we don't exactly play with wingers anyway we should be looking at 4-3-1-2 or 3-4-1-2 which would suit us and our players the best.Looking at footballers solely in the Prem, If the dough is there I like the look of:

his numbers are good for his first year in the prem, also its more than numbers, when I've been watching, has always looked dangerous and scares defenders every game.Mate, Raphina is just flavour of the month, he isn't proven in anyway shape or form. I'd rather get 1 top player that will walk into the first team than 3 bench warmers.Just to play devils advocate a little, but I see Raphina and Sarr as very similar, but one is very much "flavour of the month".
