Aarons will cost a good chunk thinking 30m at least, yes we have the money but unless Norwich promised to let him go if they got promoted then i don't see the logic for them to sell??

And for what I've seen not sure he's worth that money to be honest. That's more than what Godfrey cost.
Norwich will need the money
They may get money next season but like all EPL clubs they are struggling financially now
Deal could be done and some cash paid over before the season ends

Reading play tonight, going to give them another watch and see what that Michael Olise does, i like the look of him and he would sort out our midfield into attack issues imo.

Haarland and Kane rumored
I would go with Haarland but Pep may go for the experience
Both would cost much the same
I can’t see Spurs letting Kane go to City, but throw 150mil at Dortmund for Haaland and I can’t see them turning it down. They’ll recycle that money into 3 more young stars and do it again. Haaland with the kind of service he’d get at City would be a nightmare to deal with.

I wonder if this rumoured war chest will be including any player sales, or if they will be additional to it. If they’ll be additional to it and we sell Kean, Bernard and a few others it could be a big summer

Keane Mina Godfrey Branthwaite Holgate
First 2 are regular starters,Godfrey and Branthwaite have higher ceilings
Holgate is useful as a cover RB
Next season Coleman will provide that cover
Holgate would bring in 15-20m and would not be missed ,the others would

I put Keane / Mina / Branthwaite into one group then Godfrey / Holgate into the other.

With Europe we can rotate Godfrey/Holgate with 2 of the other 3.

Also if we do go 3 at the back then any of the first 3 can play central but we need Godfrey/Holgate for the wide CB positions adding pace.

Id be surprised, if not shocked if we keep both Keane and Mina next season unless Branthwaite is loaned again...

Even then i think Ancelotti will want to bring his own man in.

Minas contract is the big one, if hes on £100k+ a week and 2 years remaining he could be the one to go unless a decent offer comes in for Keane.

If Keane and Pickford both have a good Euros then that could be interesting.

Who will pay our required fee and Mina's wages in a post pandemic world
Now ask yourself the same question about Holgate who has HG status and is English

I agree, I think money will be important to a lot of clubs this year but then the price of staying in the premier league might be worth them holding on? I have a sneaky feeling JJK might help oil these wheels
