he went to PSG as a last resort for them. Because they couldn’t get their first choice They obviously thought they needed a tackler and obviously thought he was a better player. They now want him gone.

I never bought the "Gana is a poor footballer who runs a lot" narrative in the first place is all it is. If you don't see Gana as being bad then it actually takes someone being exceptional and Allan to me is just decent too.

If you believe the media he was their 3rd choice behind a certain Allan at Napoli and Doucs at Watford, who were both deemed too expensive at 80m for Allan and 40m for Doucs.

Everton then went and used the 31m they got for Gana and paid 40m for them both.

Funny old game the footy ain't it.

Evertonians are just so weird sometimes. When we have good players we refuse to actually believe in their quality and instead highlight their flaws. I'm not saying Gana was Iniesta, but jeez, he wasn't Heskey either.

Theres a world away from "best midfielders in the league" and Heskey.

As I say, I liked Gana, but I could see his flaws, but his strengths vastly made up for them, since hes left his fanboys have turned him into some sort of Kante/Zidane/Lampard super player who could win games on his own with a flick of his wrist.

Gana was Class defensively .. offensively it was different he did at time hinder us

if he had a equal mix of both he would be world class level

I'd argue that paying a lot of money for Walcott, Tosun and Gylfi hindered us a lot more.

And I agree, Gana over his 3 years was better than Allan has been in his time here, so far.
