Well Doucoure doesn’t offer much from a technical point of view, his passing is quite poor. Maybe he doesn’t dive into tackles, but he gets about the opposition and puts them under pressure. Constantly diving into challenges, will say you’re out of position
Yes that can happen, and he is good at pressuring, but we really need people who can pressure and win the ball too. We've got Allan and that's really it. As I said in a post to Goat that is as much to blame for us having to sit off as the CBs being slow. You've got to be able to win the ball off of players high up or the press is just exposed.

We dont press.

I know we don't press, I'm trying to say why we don't press. We might press at some point if we can fix the reasons we don't now.

This is like Zats playing a high line.

Carlo doesn't press or play a high line.
Our best player and one of the best midfielders in the league who left for 30m at age 30 to join a club that plays in CL finals? What am I forgetting?

This is getting worse than the people who swear Rom wasn't that good.
Best midfielders in the league? Nope.

He was a jarg little tackle merchant that was part of an Everton side that lost 60 games in his 3 years at the club.

He couldn't pass more than 2 yards, he got exposed loads of times and the last time his new club played in a CL final he was kissing pine, like hes done most of the season, cos hes a limited little clown.

I liked Gana when he was here, cracking little player, great engine, but he was very poor at times, same with Rom.

I wouldn't take either of them back, cos I have PRIDE.

I wish you'd have just put this at the start so I didn't bother losing brain cells on the lines before it.

This is like a combination of the people who say Rom isn't good and the mess about how James is holding us back now. Your good players aren't the ones that make you bad.

And I know Carlo doesn't press like the mutant across the park, but I've got to think we would play a smidge higher up in his ideal set up. We're Dyche levels of dropping off currently.

So he was a jarg little tackle merchant, couldnt pass more than 2 yards and was a limited little clown.

But then in your next sentence, he was a cracking little player.

This post makes the goat list of clueless posts, well done.

Well, to change the subject, I think Carlo will have really liked seeing Rico and DCL up top together and the mayhem they caused, maybe he wont stick with the back 5, cos not many teams have as many threats as big red to nullify.

But I'm almost certain Carlo values defence above attack, not to the levels of say a Jose, but on the main this deep line has worked out well for us, so I don't see it changing soon, nor do I see us pressing higher.

I would just love to see us play 4-3-1-2. I'm not sure what the best version of a midfield three is in that, I'm tempted to say it is Davies deep with Allan destroying things and Doucoure trying to get up and support, but I also don't really love that from a getting the ball forward standpoint.
