Thing is, not many of our lads can show that turn of pace and skill. He's a very tightly marked player after last season. Teams such as spurs made their players take turns in professionally fouling him so that he didn't get near their goal. He must be good otherwise opponents wouldnt target him like that.
But all top players get tightly marked and kicked all over the place, look at the treatment Richarlison gets. But the top players find a way, he’s just a headless chicken.

Neto is 3x the player

Keane is at his peak value? So does that mean we have to sell him? I want players playing for us when there at their peak or as you put it ‘peak value’. Clubs should sell/release players when their past it and enjoy there best days at the club. I don’t understand why you feel we should sell players for as much profit possible rather than having them play for the club when their at there best. I’m going to start calling you arsene wenger soon turning us into a selling club lol
Agreed, I know this is a conversation that's been had before, people have different ideas on value. Is it just value in cash or value to the team? If a club offered silly money, as an example Maguire to Utd then his cash value becomes a lot more than him playing at his best for the rest of his career, otherwise he plays at the level he is doing now for a few more seasons and we let him go for a small fee or a free there is still value in that. There's also hidden value, potential signings know that if they perform they won't be overlooked for their international team because Keane is an England squad member at least. I'm sure with his experience he can teach younger players a few things too.

And Coleman’s our best right back.

If Moshiri gave ancelotti 250mil this summer he’d buy a CB. End of

Klopp bought VVD because, he wanted better and a world class goal keeper.
you’re probably happy with Pickford
And if moshiri gave ancelotti £500m this summer he’d replace every single player we’ve got. I’m not really sure what point you’re trying to make? None of the worlds best XI play for the team that came 12th in the PL? HOLD THE FRONT PAGE.

Thing is, Donnarummas agent is Raiola. And he and Soljskaer aren't exactly on best terms.
But if it does go through, try for Hendersons
The article doesn't talk about him going to United? It references De Gea as he is currently the highest paid goalkeeper.

Theres a number of posters claiming Michael Keane is irreplacable and shouldnt be sold under any circumstances...

...however, he's a limited footballer and if Ancelotti was able to, he'd upgrade him.

Mina also has only 2 years on his contract and we do have an issue with sitting deep every game and then the midfield dragged deep and forwards isolated.

Hence we could see changes at centre back as well as right back this summer.

This may be needed to evolve as a team.

I think @Lanolin that was the general point and @Stephenlloyd was somewhat "taken aback" by another poster comparing Mina/Keane to Ferdinand/Terry

Mina is our best CB in theory. Keane is our best CB in reality. People think a team with a lot of holes shouldn't sell its best CB before fixing the holes. It's reasonable.

Well he only has 2 years left on his contract so may be sold...

Also, if we sold DCL and signed Mbappe would that also be an issue for you?

Seems rather peculiar to me...

The issue wuth Mina is the wages though. I'm not sure anybody at present is lining up to take his 120k p/w wages. I actually think we will see a reduction in wages, and some contract negotiations become more tricky. I aso think, in some cases, 2 years left won't be the marker it once was. The club may continue to have a look at him and may sign him down to a shorter extension with 18 months left. Given the expeirences we have had trying to shift players, thats fair enough.

The other angle on the 2nd part I do agree with, but in actuality continuity within a tmeam is important. I don't think Keane is irreplacable, I thought he was fantastic through lockdown and at times next to Mina, but since the back 4 has been messed about wth, his performance level has dipped a bit. If someone comes in with a big big I'm sure he would go, but I'm not sure I see it happening, and after 4 years here, he's settled and seems to be 1st choice.

I'll be honest, I wouldn't mess about too much at CB. I would hope Mina can stay fit and keep him next to Keane- which is a developing partnership. If that can happen over the next 12 months, probably a 2 year extension for Mina on existing terms makes sense. If Mina can't stay fit, then Godfrey can stake a claim at CB.
