Not remotely worried about this.
Villa may as well approach Mourinho.
In fairness, Villa are a big club. Always thought of them on a par with us to be fair. We've been slightly more successful domestically but they have won the European Cup, whereas our only European trophy was the ECWC (Which was the 2nd biggest at the time btw, to correct an earlier post, if you qualified for both the UEFA Cup and the ECWC, you were entered into the ECWC as it was the bigger competition - I digress).
That's the point though - they're roughly on a par with us in terms of history, probably as close as any other team in England, and in terms of current standing we've finished above them in 7 out of the last 9 seasons. It is also rumoured that Benitez wasn't interested in the job because he was told there wouldn't be all that much money to spend, other than what was recouped from sales. So Villa clearly wouldn't be giving Moyes a massive warchest either. Moyes earns a fortune at Everton, I think I read he's one of the top 5 paid managers in the Premier League, so I'm struggling to see what the logic is as to why on earth people (mostly Villa fans) think he would want to leave? It is, at best, a sideways move.
Anyway, he's a man of his word and his comments the other week were good enough for me:
"I know nothing about it and they have a really good manager in place who unfortunately is ill at the moment. The last thing he needs to hear is someone talking about his job. But I'm not interested anyway, so that answers it."
