Heres 4 i like that we may be able to deals for...

Boubacar Kamara (Marseille) 21 years old and can play DM / CM / LB / CB positions. Contract expires in 2022 and Marseille seem to be in serious trouble so could get him for a low fee.

Eduardo Camavinga (Rennes) 18 years old defensive midfielder. Potential world class ability and perhaps a unique chance for us to bring in a player like him. Offering first team football while some of the other clubs linked are in financial distress. Contract expires in 2022 so we may be able to do a deal.

Bruno Guimaraes (Lyon) 23 years old who can play as both a defensive and central midfielder. Someone I think can be top class and an instant fan favourite.

Emerson (Barca) 22 year old right back. Very strong attacking player and returning to Barca after his spell at Betis ends. Barca are in serious financial difficulty and so he could be somewhat a bargain signing.



Id say though, I really like Godfrey and DCL in the spine of the team. If we could add in a super centre or defensive midfielder then i think it makes a lot of sense.

I agree about waiting to see how Olsen performs over the season.

Ancelotti did say he wanted to sign Olsen and then we didnt so it could be that he (or the goalkeeping coach) has seen something lacking in his game or temperament.

Alternatively he may have other plans for that position...or simply wants to wait till summer so Brands can make a cheaper deal with Roma.

Lets see how it plays out.





I think if we are to go with a 4231 type formation then we'll need more then Doucoure and Allan in the '2' positions over the season.

Guimaraes adds the mentality and all round quality while Kamara has the pace and ability to cover both central and left side of defence.

Either or both would be tremendous signings i think.

Camavinga's been linked with Barca and Real. Will either of them pay £40-60mil for him? I think its unlikely this summer.

Perhaps regular games in the premier league at 18 may be seen as a good progression in the knowledge that hes under a world class coach and may see us as a stepping stone.

All three of them make sense for different reasons.

We need a CM who can really spray a ball but is also good at ball recoveries, any suggestions?

Depends, he’s 22, he’s always one of the first names on the team sheet, they are first in Ligue 1 aswell. With the pandemic hitting France bad we might get a good deal there, 20-30 million

@Mkjjones any other players you like in france? Btw Guimaraes was 23 in Nov -- but i agree, £20-30mil and most likely £30mil to get him seeing as theyre good at extracting big fees.

Trippier will be 31 in Sept...

Lamptey is potentially top notch but the snag is that hes tiny at 5'5 for a footballer. Big call that...

Aarons is suppsosedly 5'10 (though looks smaller) and while isnt putting in amazing stats it seems like Norwich miss alot of chances.

In midfield Houssem Aouar, Eduardo Camavinga and Boubacar Kamara are the standouts for their age. Aouar and camavinga are more the running type and through balls into the channels, they play at speed and counter attack, they would be the ones unleashing Richarlison on the break, I saw Aouar play vs Man City and he held his own with the pressing and played through them well, passing it to the space as they closed down on him, haven’t seen to much of camavinga but for his age (18) he looks better than Davies and Gomes, plays fast football and loves to dribble, not the possession type really. Kamara is the opposite, better cover for the defenders, good interceptor and loves a long ball, he’s composed, if you give it to him, you won’t lose the ball, and he can pick passes like James, he’s my favourite all round midfielder out of them 3.

Just been looking at the options on free transfers, there is some crazy players available this summer.

Surely one or two who would improve us also.

Very true, normally the list has one or two top players in it bit different this time around but know where you coming from.
