Thought he looked really good today, glad to see so many positive posts on him here for a change.
I got questioned in the match day thread when I said his energy would make him much more effective than Sigurdsson... that’s how lowly he was being talked of before the game!

It’s in all our interest for him and every other player do well. I don’t rate him much and I thought he did well most of the time tonight.

I’m not directing this at you, there is a weird, almost cult like attitude with this lad. Whenever he has a decent match, some people are right in to other blues about it, very obnoxious, the “haters” sort of thing. It’s poor doing that to other blues, just because they don’t rate the lad. I’d understand if it was opposition fans but to do it to fellow blues? Winds ups, yeah, a good laugh is fun, it’s not wind ups with this lad tho. It’s sensitivity.

It’s similar to discussions about the chairman.

I’m being honest been a blue all my life, we don’t deserve a play like Davies.

Not great at all, but gives his all and gets slated. Bad. Plus he’s a scouser. 10/20 years ago would be a different story.

Great to see him show some confidence after looking shot of it for so long.

Under Koeman and Silva he never hid and gave his all when more experienced players did. Looked like he had the weight of the club on him at times, especially being given the captains armband and in the end he couldn’t pass the ball 5 yards.

Carlos got him looking like he wants to play football again and it’s great to see. Still 22 and more to come, we’ll played tonight Tom!
