ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

They had 4 days between games I think, so his pop isn’t even vaguely accurate.

He’s starting to fall to bits again and as @Mikey_Fitzgerald mentioned earlier, funny how the supposedly lovable, laughing Klopp turns so quickly into a snide, sneering gobshite.

I so hope City run rings round them on Sunday, it’ll be top, top value.
City played 8 games in December and 9 games in January. How is it even remotely possible to have a 2 week break
with that schedule. The biggest thing is that he told a blatant lie. So why don't the media call him out on it?
Not a word from anyone. We all know why...

They just cater to the masses. I've not listened to it for a single minute for 14 months and my life is better for it.
Radio for all of the white man van crowd.
I knocked it on the head too mate. Total shyte. It got so dull listening to the same crap on all the shows. Except Hawksby and Jacobs the rest was just crap. Shock Jock radio for gullible fans of the big 6

I quite like it. Other than their actual broadcasting of actual sport, which ironically is tragically bad.

Scottie Road and Walton are Blue. Netherfield Rd and......unfortunately due to history, most of Everton are RS. I used to listen to Radio Merseyside in the 70s and 80s. They had a phone in on Saturdays after the then normal 3pm matches.

The amount of times I heard " hello where are you from?" "Everton ". Who do you support?" "Liverpewl"
It wasn't like that in the 60s .I was born in Everton just off Everton Brow and went to the friary school and every lad in my class was an Evertonian.

Cheers . The Friary school was probably mostly Blue but you would have had a lot of neighbours who were red....they possibly march around Southport in July??
Yes that's right the Orange Lodge used to march most Sundays in July along Netherfield road. I was only a kid at the time and used to like watching them march not bothered about the religious connection. Truthfully I lived in Garden Lane off Everton Brow and most people in our street were Evertonians although Liverpool were in the second division until I think 1962.

Not connected to Merseyside but a good story I read many years ago was about an American journalist who was in Belfast on the 12th. He asked a woman onlooker what the marching was about and her response was "ach away and read your Bible"

One of my best friends for 34 years is an East Belfast Glens supporter - Tottenham too for some reason. We remain in regular contact although he now lives in Bristol. He was also at our wedding in 1992.

When Drumcree was at its height in 1996 he rang me to say "we're going through". I said they could March up and down the country road where I live all day in Kilkenny and we would happily watch.

My mother who is 89 shortly and has dementia went to mass regularly until recently never stopped me from watching the Lodge or my father who had no time for religion. The teachers in school and the priests would have frowned at it if they had known but I was a bit of a rebel and would have taken no notice. There was some bad trouble at times because unfortunately some of the marchers would intimidate people.

Pat Jennings maybe? Not your mate, the reason he support Spurs

The difference is though, Leyton Orient couldn't play. In this instance Leipzig can play, it is Liverpool who cannot make the trip.

If Leipzig werre saying "we can't field a team" thats fair. Thats sort of the opposite of whats happening here. Maybe UEFA think they can pressure the German government via Leipzig, but to do that they will need some complicity and good will from Liverpool too (which is fair).
Leipzig turn up as normal...and presumably the Reff too
8.00 Reff blows whistle, they kick off.
Reff abandons game, due to the rs having less than the statutory minimum number of players 6? 7?
Leipzig throws it back to UEFA - we did our bit...
Or if the Reffs dont turn up, do similar.
Endless possibilities if Leipzig Just turn up and Kick off

Steve said his mum had to go to London regularly in the 70s as part of her job, and he went with her one weekend and to WHL. The place was bouncing and that got him hooked.

He remembers calling Lawrenson a dirty Fenian barstool, and getting applause from those around him

Can't say whether Lawrenson is in any way a Fenian but he is a pain!!
