Honestly don't get why clubs didn't raid the French League this window. This wasn't new news.
It's been 48 hours if my math is right. Any update?View attachment 116731

Canal + to broadcast French football until the end of the season
The LFP on Thursday confirmed that broadcasting giant Canal + would broadcast French football until the end of the season, after the French broadcaster agreed to pay €200m for rest of the Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches this campaign, on top of the €330m fee they were already paying for the year for the two show matches in the top flight per week.
The LFP Board of Directors met on Thursday afternoon to formally accept the proposal from Canal + who had previously been suing the LFP for their refusal to allow the broadcaster to give up their €330m yearly obligations, which Canal + felt was overvalued following the cancellation of the Mediapro contract in December. They are still pushing forward with their lawsuit, probably as an intimidation tactic according to France Info.
Following Monday’s unsuccessful tender on the Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 rights left empty by Mediapro (who previously had 80% of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2), in which Canal + did not participate, neither did beIN Sports, the LFP had spent Tuesday and Wednesday trying to engage Canal + to negotiate one on one, with the broadcaster initially refusing.
The package for 2020/21 was supposed to be €1.135bn, but instead will be €683m, roughly a €17m downturn on the deal for 2019/20, and €452m less than was initially expected for this season.
Canal + (Package 3): €332m
Canal + purchase of Gameweeks 25 to 38: €35m
Mediapro (August payment): €9m for Ligue 2 & €135m for Ligue 1
Mediapro (December payment): €64m
Mediapro (March to June 2021 payment): €36m
BeIN for Ligue 2: €30m
Free: €42m
Time to Bring a blue home
Given the massive dip in finances (Covid) I highly doubt we could afford anything like the amount Palace would want for Zaha. His current contract runs to June 2023 so there is no chance of getting him on the cheap, unless they as a club are in dire financial straits to a far bigger extent than the rest of the prem. Will be a boring summer window if King signs a long term contract thus ruling out a move for Wilfred Zaha.
Lol

Zaha will be 30 at that point. No big club will risk it especially if his injuries start to increase and his pace slows down.Given the massive dip in finances (Covid) I highly doubt we could afford anything like the amount Palace would want for Zaha.
