I doubt this is the plan and I have no idea if it'd work, but if we could play him on the right of the 3 and play James free centrally, we'd finally have 3 genuinely pacy runners ahead of the Colombian for him to pick out, plus full backs. I hope we find a way to get King into the 11, purely due to his pace and goalscoring ability. Iwobi has done well considering his lack of ability, but has little pace and has scored I think 2 or 3 league goals since he's been here.

I’m happy with this, makes total sense. Imagine he picked Fulham over us, that would be a strong message too. So if anything, I’m happy for that. Gives us options up front and puts a little pressure on the front 3, and options to rest players too. Can’t see any bad side to it given it a loan deal also

He's got some pace - which we lack - and he gives Carlo another option up front, to rest DCL, or change things up when he needs to off the bench. He's got a deal that incentivizes him to perform. It's not mega money. All things considered, this is a positive.
