I tweeted at the time I thought he'd be an excellent signing for Newcastle.

Not sure I'd say we missed the boat with him, for the fee they paid he'd have been sat on our bench/behind DCL.

The joy of King V Wilson is King is more versatile. The reality is, Wilson is a poor mans DCL, which is meant as no slight on him, but we were never going to rop DCL if he's fit. King is cuter, and can play across the front, as well as just giving him a breather. Of the two I'd prefer King, although thats no slight on Wilson who himself is a decent player.

If Richarlinson were to go, Ings would make a lot of sense too with 1 year left.

Short term loan deal till the end of the season as a back up to DCL and i would defo be happy with this. Would rather have him than Tosun any day of the week and we need to strengthen a bit if we have any hopes of a decent 2nd half of this season.

I had a good bet on him joining in the summer.

I haven’t had a penny on him joining in this window..

Welcome to Everton.

Yes, thats how I'd describe him

Hes not bad or brilliant, he's somewhere in between. You don't score almost 50 pl goals at better than 1 in 4 if you are absolutely rubbish.

I would have preferred someone younger but I'm not against this at all.

his form and goals this season shows he is in decline and his age indicate further decline in the next few years. This is Walcott all over again. Why do we even consider such signing as a decent move.
