Well, I'll take a stab in the dark : buy enough players who have a track record of scoring goals and complement the team. If the person in charge of this fails to do this, (Brands), he needs to be replaced.

It also highlights lack of pressure on first team regular players to perform at their best...

...the DoF should be looking for a striker who can positively influence games either from the start or from the bench. I’ve highlighted it a few times lately, but its been a long time since I thought we had a genuine threat sitting on the bench, a player who will come on and immediately cause defenders a problem.

Sadly, Kean wasn’t capable of doing that and Gordon tends to come on and play safe rather than using his pace to get at the opposition.

It's perhaps also worth noting that just 38% of our goals have come in the 2nd half this season, with 28% of them coming after the hour mark, when you might expect subs to be introduced. By contrast, in the half an hour before half time, we've scored 52% of our goals.

Interestingly, we've also conceded 42% of our goals in the last half an hour of the match, so we're clearly not doing great at either end as the match wears on.
