Pathetic first half that. On a quick train to 11th place this season if we don't make reinforcements. Squad is absolutely nowhere near good enough.
Been saying 9th all season. These lads can't be relied on to put away the lesser sides. It's all very well going to Leicester and Spurs and winning, but losing to Leeds, Newcastle, and West Ham sort of negates that. It suggests mid-table by definition.

As I have long said, we will be on a rollercoaster this season until Ancelotti gets his own men in most positions. We have too many mercurial components to be consistent enough to genuinely compete. We might yet win this - but we might just as easily lose it. Not really the sign of a side going for the top 4...

It's not hyperbole to say that they're there for the taking if we actually played with some control and precision. If we could string passes together, we'd be fine.
We've not played especially well, and I generally dislike criticising officials, but it's not easy to play with control and precision when the opposition has free reign to kick your players up in the air at will with no repercussions.

theyve turned up for the 1st time in 3 months but James getting no protection, Doucoure inhibited going forward.. We need to improve alot 2nd half to get something out of this game.

I don’t think they have, Everton have just been proper toothless and allowed them free will on the ball. We must be one of the only teams in this league that doesn’t press its opposition. It’s a dangerous game to play.

They really came to kick the [Poor language removed] out of James
Nice for the referee to leave the door wide open to him getting a nasty injury before too long. Now they've seen he's willing to allow them to continue smashing him without repercussions they'll do so even more in the second half. So what if they get another 3 yellow cards, if they nullify him by injuring him it's a job well done.
