Players he has permanently moved out of the club since he arrived:

18/19: Klaasen, Funes Mori, Browning, Connor Grant, Robles, Rooney

19/20: Gueye, Lookman, Vlasic, Onyekeru, McCarthy, Galloway, Jagielka, Ashley Williams, Mirallas, Hewelt

20/21: Schneiderlin, Dowell, Garbutt, Stekelenburg, Sandro, Pennington, Bolasie, Baines, Niasse, Martina, Tarashaj

This is a humongous list of players and shows how much of a job it has been to get a stable squad of players together at Everton. Finally we now have a core of some players that we don’t immediately want to get rid of. Decent teams should just be adding a few in and a few out every season yet we have had to do massive spring cleans every single season since Brands has arrived. There are an awful lot of wages tied up in that list of players above the majority of which were in no way good enough to play for us. It’s only a good thing that they’ve been moved out of the club. Sure he’s made some poor guys (Bernard, Delph) and got very unlucky with injury on some (Gbamin, Gomes) but compare the list of names below to the ones above.

Richarlison, Digne, Mina, Allan Doucoure James Godfrey Nkonkou Branthwaite Kean Gbamin Gomes Bernard Iwobi Olsen

I’d much rather have the names on the list below than the names he’s moved out of the club. He’s not done a perfect job but for the first time in a long time better players are joining the club than the ones leaving. That leads to improvement.
Interesting read.
The biggest problem is the amount of expensive first team players that have left the club for more or less zero financial return. players like Bolasie, Schniderlin, Niasse, Walcott (not on your list). They are players that have seen out a single contract, then left for nothing. I’m sure that is an unusual situation.
If we don’t manage to shift Tosun and Delph, they will do the same.

That’s just a list of all the players that we’ve sold. I didn’t omit any of them. My point stands that the majority of those players impacted our first team.
OK. I'd say about half of them played more than a dozen games for us, and some of those by not many.

I disagree with the wording 'players he has moved out' because the majority of them just left when their contracts expired. I don't really see that as him moving them on, it's just them leaving. Nobody expected any of those players to get new contracts, none of them were difficult decisions where we decided to sever ties unexpectedly to free up room, there'd have been a massive kick off on here if any of them had stayed a day longer than their contract.

As I said originally though, I was genuinely asking for context as to whether that was a lot or not. Ignoring City who included all their academy players on the list, I looked at Liverpool who've got rid of 25 'senior' players in the same timeframe, so pretty much the same. You were suggesting that our list of outs was 'humongous' and that decent teams don't have to do that. Surely Liverpool are a decent team and they've done exactly the same. Again, I'm not saying Brands has done poorly, I just get bored of this framing of everything he does as some sort of revolutionary work, as if Leighton Baines retiring and Cuco Martina's contract expiring is evidence of him doing a great job.

Yep. Filling a skip full of players and calling it a successful outgoing transfer policy.

At least it looks like he’s shovelling out the crap this transfer window. Not an easy task getting rid of some of our garbage.
Other than ringing around clubs don't know what his task is. If he gave Watford a call to say Delph is available, doubt that would come as a surprise to them. Think he's getting far too much credit for not a complicated task.

Wrong Mate it is complicated, wages we pay are too good and cannot be matched be glad that we have moved a couple and saved some money.

Would you have left your job for another less wages?

Or getting Uk passports via Northern Ireland?
Doesnt make a difference unfortunately. It is transferring between countries under 18 that is not permitted rather than anything else.

What I suspect will happen with the exceptional ones is that one of their parents will get a job in the UK, which is one of the few permitted exemptions... parents moving for work reasons (Man City are under investigation at the moment for faking a job given to the parents of one of the youth players).
