ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Mike Dean , although a Tranmere Rovers supporter, is also suspected of being a closit RS.I believe some of his family are. He should'nt be around any games at analfield.
That time he made a tit of himself at tranmere, was stage managed. All of a sudden he is the most fanatic tranmere fan in the ground, while the cameras are pointing at him. Surely no ones buying that... would like to see if he has been given more RS matches since then

Personally find the whole #FSGOUT thing absolutely laughable.

Apparently Klopp has done this single handedly, without any support off the board. They haven't allowed him to invest anything other than the Coutinho money.

Then they forget since Coutinho was sold. Coutinho was sold for £105m, in January 2018.

In the previous 6 months they spent £72m on Chamberlain and Salah.
Then spent... £75m on Van Dijk (world record for defender), £52m Keita, £40m Fabinho, £66m Alisson (World Record for GK),£41m Jota, £25m Thiago.to a grand total of £371m in 3 seasons.

They also increased revenue by building a new stand, complete with 13,000 hospitality seats to maximise revenue, and built a state-of-the-art training complex, during a pandemic.

What more do you want?

Where were these fans when they were in relegation zone under Hodgson? Nowhere.
I've got my popcorn and i'm revelling in it, because they're an absolute joke!

The lack of self-awareness from this specimen is amazing. Apparently this season is a "freak season", and obviously last season was completely normal, nothing to see here. And also according to this genius this is the first-ever PL season where every team has displayed some inconsistency

“I do love my asterisk from last season”

You don’t. It eats away at you daily. It causes you to wake up in the middle of the night in cold sweats, knowing that no matter how many £2 plastic flags you hang out of your car window, no matter how many times you share the “champions wall” to your 4 friends on Facebook, that no one actually gave a toss in the end. The fact you waited 30 years for a title parade and are still waiting, consumes your day to day life and there’s not a thing you can do about it. That’s the only true “unbearable” thing in your life. Have a great day red man x

I dont think the owners or Klopp will care one bit. What's quite funny though is their fans got involved in it hook line and sinker. Going to show the mancs who's boss, put them in their place etc etc. Just been made to look stupid again, and theyve taken it pretty badly.

I'll be honest, I dont think the extra prep will have much difference. They had 8-10 days prep before West Brom and United in the league and it seemed to make them worse. It feels (to borrow a Granscian phrase) a bit of an organic crisis there to me.

What really struck me, is the mystique is gone from that Liverpool team now. The last 2 years I've seen United play them and look terrified. Lost before they got on the pitch etc. It didnt feel that at all today. Wan Bissakas bit where he sent Robertson to the chippy twice in a row exemplified it. Absolutely no fear whatsoever.
spot on - it's gone as it was with city last year after the wolves game, teams realised you run at them and they couldnt cope, when fernandinho was at CB. It's taken them 12 months to turn that ship back around.

I don't think this was about prep for thursday in the conventional sense. They strang two passes together in the opposition box for the first time since the palace match & overall played ok other than the young CB, who klopp might be ok with being so exposed before the window shuts and Alisson, who seems to have got a pass despite a poor game and an arguement he should have done better for two of the goals.

Love how they can blame the board for not spending money during a global pandemic and potentially another resession despite breaking the transfer record for a goalkeeper and defender in the last 3 years and all the other millions they spent this season plus not to mention the highest wage bill in the league.

Yeah it's the boards fault not the manager who is playing a midfielder in defence next to a kid who is flanked by wing backs not defending but level with the opposition box.

It's your manager who is blowing this season not Pickford, Richarlison or England training sessions.

Ya Manager is a fake whining nöncé who is as bad at winning and worse at losing. He has man managered his hugs to give you all Asthma and caffeinated your blood levels to pure goth monster.

Get In The Mud

Sorry, I'm not having that 'what a shame Liverpool lost to United' business. Okay, so they would have had at least one more game. But I seem to remember lots of people here spouting exactly that in the CL a couple of years back, and then look what happened.

It's a competition. Get them out of it!

As much or more than most, they are a 'confidence team'. They gained as much from that invincible air last season as the shocking VAR decisions that went their way. All those late goals as they keep on playing to the final whistle, always having that belief that they'll score? That dissipates a bit with every loss. Heads start to drop. They stop believing.

And scoring a couple will give them confidence? Really? I'd rather take the spin that they'll be thinking that even if they score a couple they still can't win. They could well start thinking 'well, what can we do then?'

Obviously the injury to Rashford isn't good. But to be fair, he only limped off, and nobody knows the severity before he has a scan. Might be a game or two out and no more.

I just hate to see people on here gnashing their teeth and bewailing the fact that that shower of utter bells lost a game. We should rejoice in every single defeat, kick them when they are down, and glory in their humiliation. None of this lily-livered 'Sergeant Wilson' mentality. 'If you Manchester chaps wouldn't awfully mind just letting them win, that would be lovely'.

They don't like it up 'em. Keep driving it in. No lube.

Beautiful post

I don't think this was about prep for thursday in the conventional sense. Absolutely spot on for the first bit mate and that exact game too. It's funny the phsycology of football, that once the mistake goes, it gets lost very quickly. Teams suddenly switched with City very quickly, and the same is true for this team. You compare it to even last year, when Lallana got that late equaliser and the panic for United who were clinging. There was no panic yesterday when Liverpool equalised, they just went forwsrd and got another goal.

I didn't think they played that well yesterday to be honest. United left Fernandes out for most of the game and went for goals. They would have got more had he played for that Beek fella. Also the 2 goals they concede are very saveable. De Gea saves both. At the other end Cavani should make it 4-2, which is a fairer reflection of the play. Had it been a league game, they tighten up, but still probably exploit the centre backs and win 2-0.

As for that WIlliams, while he is horrendous, he's not their only problem by any stretch. It's laughable they were making him out to be a VVD clone 3 months ago. He's horrendous. He's slow, makes bad decisions and is not even that tall. He will do wellto make a serious career out of the game. However problems go deeper. The goalkeeper is starting to become more error prone. Fabinho was also really poor last night and should have been sent off for going through the bac of a man. Matip when he plays is slower than Williams and would have been exposed by Rashford's pce and movement.

In front of them, that midfield just doesn't press enough. Henderson is obviously injured but they miss him. Each game that goes by with that Thiago playing you see he's a liability for them in the role he plays. Just as he bottled the 50/50 header last game, he somehow manages to duck under a free kick that ends up in the bottom corner and was hit flat. Players just go past him with ease. I saw Mctominay do it 5 or 6 times, at one point he went past him like 3 times in a single motion. He's just not offering the protection that is required for that back 4.

I'm not even going to get into Arnold as that has been done before. They've lost their balance though, too many attacking players and not enough solidity. If they go to play more offensively they will just be picked off at ease.

Funny how the Red Echo writers for LFC can call FSG "borderline negligent" for not signing a CB this window

Can you imagine Kirkbride or one of the Everton writers saying that about our board.

Just shows how neutured the Everton lads are in comparison to that lot who can take pot shots at the ownership if they wish knowing they have the mafia behind them.

As I said at the time, the post is basically spot on.

Some of what I write is me just analysing whats in front of me, but most of it comes from similar whatsapp messages I see, particularly from longstanding Liverpool fans (family friends basically) who watch them every week. You throw in most of the journo's close to the club are already warning of financial problems and you begin to recognise the signs.

I don't just randonly guess last summer they won'tsign Mbappe or Werner- and that they need the TV money to come through to do any business.
