ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

What is more damming about that clip is the mess up the one yard pass

Arnold is another one who's not right to me. I don't know if it's because he's been rushed back from injury, or that we are seeing the old "mean reversion" that has been mentioned before- but he looks way off currently.

The problem is that Neco Williams is also a liability and got the run around at Brighton. Arnold is miles off though. It reminds me of the dip Tom Davies had, when you could just see all of his confidence has gone.

There was one in the 2nd half, where he just stood and watched a guy in his spot get on the end of a cross and nearly score. No idea positionally and in truth no real desire to get back in.

I don't know if these mistakes were always there, but VVD and the fact they won a lot covered them. But honestly, at present I wouldn't have him in our match day squad. He'd be our 4th choice right back as he's just not doing the basics.

A defeat to Burnley and they’re already losing their minds. Magnanimous? Never. Wonderful, wonderful stuff.

The fact he deleted this, after a couple of blues called him out, including one woman tells it's own story. He got plenty of takers and his @rse went hook line and sinker.

They seem to be doing this a lot recently. I had a couple recently saying they wanted to pound me. Id say ok then when lockdowns done let me know when. They'd go quiet, and check up on them a few days later and they'd have blocked me. I don't know what they think they are achieving with this behaviour. Nobody who is actually good at fighting goes on twitter and offers randomers out.

Bulletin from the Furherbunker on lack of transfer activity:

“These decisions are not my decisions. If somebody thinks we should do something [they will decide],” he said. “I cannot decide if we do something in the transfer window or not, that must be clear. But that’s not something I’m thinking about."

Is this parody or real?

Trent Alexander-Arnold lost possesion 39 times last night, a new record for this Premier League season.
The previous record of 38 times was also held by Alexander-Arnold.
Who also holds the all time PL record of most losses of possesion in a match (something extraordinary like 45 times).

Best in the world.

He was horrendous last night. They kept getting themselves in decent positions and he just kept lashing aimless balls in, or passing it straight to a Burnley player.

There was 1 where they had good possession, and he just passed it into the Kop. It was nowhere near any player. I don't know if he saw someone who wasn't there. He was on te end of the box on the right side, in a good position. Genuinely baffled.

I don't think it will be helping the lad much that Klopp singled him out for criticism at the end of the game either.

Yea i'd agree

Their entire system is based around creation and goals from 5 (maybe 6 if you include Vandijk) players, the two FB's and the three up front. Everyone of them looks goosed & out of form, it might click back in, but it seems unlikely.

Two chinks of light for them, despite the awful results they have conceded two goals in five & the run of fixtures might just suit them, it's essentially a different sport.

One mad stat mentioned last night, they have the highest points in the league in the "Traditional top 6" mini league & the lowest in the league against the bottom 6.

They are now 2/5 for top 4 & I think that's a lay all day.

Oh and just to add as well, they keep making a mess of these sort of things. Short corners when they are not needed. Goalkeeper randomly launching forward. Last night faffing about with the ball when the whistle should have been blown rather than whacking it forward.

It's a small thing, but to me it's quite indicative of a side who seem to have completely lost their heads. It's the sort of stuff we would do under Martinez and to a degree Silva that would make my blood boil. Just no common sense whatsoever. Making the wrong decision, and then executing a simple 1 yard tap badly.

They have been very good at that stuff over the last 2 years as well. They got loads of late goals, as they would keep their heads and just keep making the right decisions. That seems to have completely gone. I have no idea why. My only theory, is the managers own mental disintegration (which is very plain to see) is translating to the players and making them nervous. The best thing he could probably do, is just take all the pressure off. Tell them the season is pretty much done, especially the league, and to enjoy themselves.

I think the technical term is "frazzled"

I think the lack of fans is affecthem at home, there no doubt they unnerve players, similar tobUtd under Fergy.
Should they lose to Utd and Spurs I can see them calling for the sack

He's definitely missing VVD, either to bail him out or to organise him. He is a suspect defender, gets skinned on one and ones and switches off a lot, these are traits he's had since he came in to the team. The difference in seasons gone by is Liverpool would utterly dominate so his only job was bombing up and down and putting balls in the box. Now those crosses are being dealt with as defences have worked out Liverpool, so his actual job of defending is coming under more scrutiny.

It's resulted in the lads confidence being utterly shot now with no relief from the bench or the manager. Klopp needs to be careful he doesn't set the lad back years as he does have ability on the ball. There were suggestions he could end up in midfield eventually, who knows but right now they have no viable options at right back and stalwarts in midfield he wont replace. He's the prime weak link in that side at the moment and as each week goes by more sides are cottoning on.
