ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

id fully agree - he could have picked up five yellows in the last two games for me. Maybe the need to get this kids in at CB, try to get fabinho and Henderson back in the middle and give him the ten, I think their problems run way deeper than that kind of change, but a sense of normality might change things up for them

If not, they can forget top 4 very very quickly & I dont think there is a club in Europe (possibly barca) who needs it more then them at the moment

Yes agree with all of that mate.

They had an unspectacular but effective midfield before. You look at him and Shaqiri in there now and sides can get out easily. They cant sustain pressure and attacks in the way they could before. It's too much change too quickly.

I think refs will be reviewing his fouls, privately. Not just his, I'm sure they do it a lot. He will not get away with the tackles hes making without caution for much longer IMO.

As for top 4, I'd agree. A couple of reds have said to me tonight it will "set them back years and years" if they dont get top 4. These lads are normally quite positive too. One of them was the guy who stated to me in the summer they were losing money hand over fist before that story broke. So yes. They think it would be awful.

I struggle to see why. I can only imagine lots of sponsor deals have big reduction clauses if they miss out.

Yes. He is overrated but I'd still say hes a very good player. Not world class though, and cant get away with being a 6 in this league.

On the downward slope mind and I'm not sure he justifies the 200k+ p/w wage.

He reminds me a big of Gundogan. Who's also a really good player, never never seems to get the same praise.

It's interesting that Bayern havent missed Thiago have they?

He’s a good player yes, but givens by they’ve played some very poor teams who have sat back and allowed him free reign, how many times has he put the ball into the most dangerous areas for a Liverpool striker to tap in? I can’t think of a single occasion. If any of those players on that list i did got given time on the edge of the area under no pressure whatsoever then they’d dismantle those types of defences. The sort of ball James played to Richarlison against West Brom, the two passes to Digne against Fulham, his through ball to Richarlison against West Ham, the through ball to DCL against Liverpool. James has punished the opposition at times. By the end of the game tonight Burnley were letting Thiago have the ball and making sure Joel Matip didn’t get on it as he was distributing it better!

Decent possession based midfielder, but he never has been world class and he isn’t world class now. World class players have the killer pass. He hasn’t played a single one in his time there yet.

Take away the super human running all they have left is a decent back line a midfield like Newcastle and a good forward line that's two injuries away from a bottom half finish, I've said all along they mastered kick and rush last season.
Id say on current form theyre a side on the slide. premier league winners will finish top of bottom half this year the media especially bbc and echo will glorify it with headlines like mighty reds top the table. Pictures will Conveniently leave out the top half, showing the bottom half of the league only.

Bottlers Spurs
Davey Moyes
Crap Brighton

It could be looked at differently.
Think Mourinho will be well up for it - he will sense blood. Especially if Utd win at the weekend.

Moyes will play for a draw. Probably get it.

Brighton looks an obvious win, but pressure could well be mounting at that point. Equally, a win gives a sense of respite, then they immediately play Man City.

It will define their season the next month; could easily go very badly wrong very quickly.

I’m a bitter and twisted pessimist mate, hence me turning your post upside down.

I hope you are right.

Its Klopp and this side that’s different. I’ve said before, Paisley, Fagan even Dalglish at the time we’re not hated for being gobshites, they were hated as they were our competitors. Respect was there between the teams.
I hated Ian Rush as he was boss. I hate this lot as they are diving cheats, I’d piss my kecks if drugs ever came out though.

This current breed of ‘fans’ are off the scale. No class whatsoever. The proper Reds I know don’t like them either.

If it's an 18mth - 2year rebuild...and that assumes that all or the vast majority of the replacements are successes...other players will have passed their use by dates by then.
Oh dear, dear.

Anyway today all the serious covid restrictions are lifted, the sky is blue, the sea's a millpond, its 26c, no humidity and I'm sat on the balcony with a cup of coffee and on top of it all Burnlry win
About as good as it gets really.

Reel these rs...and the others...in - One Game At A Time - and let the rest of the world go hang.
