TV Series

Since watching it I've thinking a lot about the girl from Queens Gambit but something struck me this morning when I woke up. Imagine waking up and her leaning over you head looking at you. Proper Area 51 head. Anyway my morning wood disappeared sharpish. Have a nice day all.

Was it the 90s? I honestly thought it was earlier than that, yeah I watched it,as I have said the Stand is probably my favourite King book, this version is decent, around an hour each episode,Im on episode 5 and Tom Cullen and the others have just got to Vegas,so it looks like they arent rushing it
Google search tells me 1994 it was made. Novel was 1978.

This is an American TV series (4 episodes about an hour long - the fourth episode 80 mins) Amazon prime with free one month STARZPLAY subscription added - just cancel after watching

It's another on this notorious cult which was busted relatively recently (2017ish) lead by Keith Raniere - has echos of the branch davidians and Waco or Jim Jones - jonestown cults of the past.

A bloke sets himself up as a sort of supreme being with followers recruited - brainwashed and all the usual criminal stuff like sex trafficking, branding, blackmail etc that epitomises these brainwashed cults

It's a documentary focussing on one of the followers India Oxenberg the daughter of a well known U.S. TV actress in the past Catherine Oxenberg who starred in stuff like Dynasty in the last century (1990's? or a decade earlier) but much more about her own traumatic experiences having gone through endless hours of therapy since then and now able to tell her story. Alison Mack another actress was extremely high up in it, said to be second in charge.

Raniere and Mack (who plea bargained to get Raniere) both inside doing time.

This is far from the only TV series on this notorious cult but just the latest, this article fills in on the background and explains how this series compliments rather than just repeats what has been done before

Mad how the woman from Smallville TV show is all involved in this.

Is the Witcher worth watching even if you have no idea of the video game?
I don’t know anything about the video game bar what I read before it came out. Found it a bit boring tbf. Watched the whole series but most of episodes didn’t hold my attention, every now and then there’d be a bit of action but I’d have zoned out and not really followed what was going on. Seemed to get better towards the end of the series so I might give it another go but generally found it a bit meh.
