ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I'm also laughing at the referee being criticised for blowing up 5 seconds early for half time. All Liverpool had done was punt a long ball upfield, and the defender was favourite to win it anyway if play had continued. To hear that bell end Henderson act to shocked, and to read 'expert' Dermot Gallagher make an issue about it is just pathetic.

I haven't seen any of this mate as I didn't watch it. Were they clean through on goal or something and the ref blew his whistle?

I'm assuming cos it's been mentioned a few times that they must have had a 5 on 1 situation and they were just about to roll a tap in into an empty net but the ref blew his whistle.

Liverpool out to 4/1 to retain their title.

City shortened right up in the last week.

Nope, literally a long, looping ball upfield and the whistle was blown before either an attacking or defending player could win possession. lol But let's just assume Mane would have won it, nutmegged all four of their defenders then dinked it over the keeper just so we have something to complain about!

Perhaps if they were through one on one with the goalkeeper on the stroke of one additional minute being up then they would be entitled to have a moan, but definitely not in this case.
Imagine if the ref blew in the 89 minute no injury time a second before the ball crossed the goal line to deny you a win , didn't remember sky outraged back then when it was Everton.

It's certainly not beyond the realm of possibility - but for some perspective they are still 1/5 to qualify now, despite being 5/1 to win the league.

The big challange is their home form, they remain unbeaten & they will always pick up a decent volume of points, despite the form. I would back them to finish ahead of United personally.
The weirdest thing to me is we're going on pretty much a year of no supporters in stadiums. Why are they even better than average at home vs the road? It's an empty stadium ffs

What the RS think happened is
45 mins RS boots ball Mane controls it, with his leg, nutmegs all 11 players, gets to the goal line gets on his knees to head the ball over the line and the ref blows up.

What really happened

RS have ball at the back, ref puts whistle in mouth, RS hits 40 yard pass, whistle blows as it’s going through the air towards Mane

All this about the five seconds- its whats on the refs watch surely, not on sky. If the ref stops his watch for any reason the tv one doesnt stop so it wont be in sync, will it?
