Well we had rumours prior to the AGM, we'll have rumours after the AGM. We don't even know how concrete this one is.

Exactly, its just timing why im sceptical. The logic of it all (the position, the type of player, the type of deal) all makes sense just a bit odd.

To reset expectations.

If you're expected to bring in a few then you only sign a teenager on loan, people are disappointed.

If you flat out say you're not getting anyone, then you sign a teenager on loan, people are happy.
