Davies role at Everton the holding/ defensive midfielder one that is learnt much like CB or keeper. It's the same position he has had rave reviews for young England.

If we don't sign a cm I'd like to see what he can do at DM with Doucoure and Allan given more license to attack and James, DCL, Richarlison and Digne all on top form.

I think we'd see a much more consistent player.

Similar to Rodwell he's been played in all sorts of different positions and roles without anyone nailing down a role for him.

It's a shame his zip and energy he displayed when he burst onto the scene seems to have gone without any major injury but I think he has the tools to be a good regista with the lieks of Allan and Doucoure providing the legs

All we need to do is get him to do workouts every day with adama traore and that should turn him from a weak useless sloth into a bulky strong CDM and be the next best English talent! lol

He was outplayed by very average championship player's. One of his main problems with being a DM is that he has very little upper body strength. Anyone playing the high press seems to be easily able to put him under pressure. I've been saying for a while that he needs to get in the gym and improve his body strength. But I'm afraid no sign of that yet
