They’ll be tired as they play tonight and then on Friday. Almost see them playing the team we beat in the FA cup, but irrespective is that opportunity I hear at the door?

Still gonna be a tough one this but the rest is huge for us.

Probably would keep it the same at the back - we just look so much more solid with the four CBs in there.

Davies in the middle with Doucoure and Gylfi. Richarlison back in. Toss up between Bernard and Iwobi.

James will be available but no need to throw him straight back in. Would much rather have him there to come off the bench.

We just need to make sure that not playing yesterday hasn't thrown us. The rest is good, just need to be fully focused.

If Coleman is fit, he starts in place of Holgate at RB. If there is even the tiniest risk of his being brought back too soon, then spare him and play Holgate. There will be tougher tests to come later in January. Assuming James and Rich are fit, they come in for Davies and Gordon.

Assuming we are capable of having the game won by early second half (we are) then get DCL off and put Richy up front (to be replaced by Gordon for some game time or Bernard on left wing) for the last half hour. A winning margin of a few goals would be nice but is secondary to picking up three points with preferably a clean sheet. All about maintaining our quiet momentum and avoiding injuries and suspensions.

All of our opponents for European positions are dropping points in draws allowing us to claw back momentum lost in our November slump.

Got a feeling this could be our last game before some form of stoppage and it’s a must win.
If James is fit I’d put him on the bench and bring him on with 3” to go, West Ham will have tired legs by then

Pickford
Coleman Keane Mina Godfrey
Doucoure Davies
Rodriguez
Iwobi DCL Richarlison

Well balanced side that - keep James away from out wide as it leaves us way too vulnerable at the back. Having two natural wide players has played a big part in our defence being tighter imo.
Yep 100% agree.

I cant believe Im about to say this but its a shame to lose Siggy right now. Him playing in his natural position is so important. Think he makes a great back up for Hameez though.

Davies seems to have woken up as well. Imagine when Digne is back and we potentially get some more quality coming in during the next transfer window.

Im almost starting to believe....haha

The only consideration Everton now seem to have going in to this match is whether to start James over Iwobi.

Pickford
Coleman Mina Keane Godfrey
Docoure Davies
James Sigurdsson Richarlison
DCL

Olsen, Holgate, Branthwaite, Nkounkou, Gomes, Gordon, Bernard, Iwobi, Tosun

Cant see how it will be stoped if they did, they will have chaos trying to fit games called off into the few months ahead with the Euros etc comming up as well as cups and whatever else [though we get a little 10/11 day break in Jan anyway for the way prem spilt the 5 games one week and have 5 the next]
