You people are absolute pissypants children. Reading the past couple of pages is equally fun and pathetic.
Eh?

Tell us more about Cenk's positive footballing attributes.

I think it's quite reasonable that everyone has had enough of a player who won't move clubs because he "wants to stay and fight for a place in the starting 11", yet shows absolutely no interest in things like running, or the ball, when he comes on to the field. He's up there with Nyarko, Alcaraz, McGeady, Bolasie and Schneiderlin in the all-time garbage 11. I'd take Straq, Velios or Niasse over him without any hesitation.

In fact, Mario Mandzukic is available as a free agent at the moment. I'd genuinely be happy with the board just terminating Tosun's contract and bringing Mandzukic in as short-term cover for DCL.

EDIT: I still want him to start against Sheffield tomorrow. Let DCL have a break, and give Tosun a full 90 minutes to show us all how much he wants to fight for his place. It's the 20th placed team in the prem, so SURELY he can do a job in this fixture? If you're not willing to start him against these, in the middle of a congested fixture list when DCL could use a breather, then when / how does he ever feature?

There is a degree of knee jerking going on. But there are valid questions. Such as "where does he fit in?" "What should his role be?" "If he is plan b, surely we need to give him more game time?"

Personally I'm not convinced by him as a starter on a regular basis, but he may be a useful sub. Probably best he moves on though and we find an alternative. Seems to be stagnating here, does no one any good.

Clubs can have salary caps.

Its prudent.

Great negotiating tactic. "Sorry, I can't meet your wage demands. My hands are tied. Take it or leave it."

It is limiting, as once you break your cap no one will ever take your claim seriously again, and you will miss good opportunities as a result.

Doesn’t necessarily preclude signing on fees mind....

Yes, there are ways to get creative about those opportunities when they arise.
