So is Duncan Ferguson.
Yep. The difference is Ferguson talks of his love for Everton after what happened in his career and doesn't pretend he's always been an evertonian. He also doesn't make snide comments at every opportunity.

Souness, like most rs pretend they have some tenuous link to the city and their football club when they just don't.

I don’t think it’s unreasonable for souness to refer to Liverpool as ‘his’ club. He captained them and won trophies with them.
They are also our rival so I don’t think it’s unreasonable for them to make snidey comments.
I just wouldn’t let them worry you so much.

....he also sold his story to the media outlet we don’t name & incurred the wrath of Koppites. I suspect he’s been trying to worm his way into their good books for years.

The most nauseating thing, though, is Everton played Arsenal in a game where the co-commentator was Jamie Carragher whilst the studio panel was Souness & Jamie Redknapp chaired by Kenny Dalglish’s daughter. It’s such bias but we all just accept it.

When the r/s were upset about his story in paper we don’t mention, he said there was more Evertonians in Liverpool than r\s, which upset them a bit more.

Also Ferguson didn’t nearly destroy our club when he managed us like Souness did to them

I really hope Amazon have cashed in on showing premier league football and go hard for more games next season as their coverage has been a breath of fresh air. Their studio pundits have been relevant to the teams playing in every game I’ve seen (I think we’ve had Cahill, Osman and Neville and Leicester had Heskey last game) and their commentary teams have been far better (love Ally McCoist as co-commentator).

Agree, he can be a bit tedious, but at least theres a semblance of personality unlike the usual bores like hinchcliffe who just obsess with defensive mistakes and how we mark set pieces
