I think it's just he has a knock and in years past there was no one we could put in so he'd grind it out. He definitely tweaked something in the first half of the Chelsea game.

Finally we have a backup that we feel comfortable starting in these situations.

He might be. Thought he was going to come out against Chelsea, he was favoring his hip.

I wouldn’t have dropped Pickford unless he got a twinge after he pulled up kicking that ball

Yeah think that's what's happened.

Doesn't make sense to me otherwise.

Unless he didn't want to drop him on a low, and is doing so now to keep him on his toes but can't see it personally.

Of all the players you drop/rest, the 'keeper who has just kept his first clean sheet for god knows how long?

Suggests to me he's not 100%.

Actually the Madison mistake with the free kick, running out of his goal and they almost scored, every game its a minimum of two to three mistakes which could easily have led to goals.
Mount but yes, people are glossing over that being horrid goalkeeping because it happened to hit the post on this occasion.

Don’t get me wrong mate, I’m no big fan of his, and welcome the change. I just think there’s been times in previous games where he should have been dropped but hadn’t.

Saturday was a good game by his standards, he made some good saves, seemed to command his box a little better and we kept a clean sheet.
