Put a great shift in and we won, Reece James is a good player both defensively and attacking, so Richy did well to get the chances he got in that game whilst still having to try to stop James getting forward.
Hopefully he'll find his shooting boots soon!

For me, he overstepped the mark even though I understand why he was desperate to take the penalty: thirsting for a goal; like most, he doesn't rate Gylfi.

Let's not forget that he had it in his mind to leave us last summer.
He spoke with Carlo and agreed that he'll play another season with us, all while he's probably already thinking of which club's shirt he wants to be wearing next season.
He's seeing his strike partner get all the credit this season, and he isn't even managing to force a goalkeeper into a decent save, never mind score a goal.
We started the season well with him influential, then he stupidly got sent off, got injured and, again stupidly, put country over club and likely aggravated his injury and hasn't looked the same since.
Then we went into a massive slump with him sat on his arse watching, and he's come back into an underperforming side with no width or creativity, also with James obviously struggling with an injury too.
I'm not at all making a case for his behaviour yesterday, just highlighting what's probably in his mind and why he craved the limelight from the penalty.
Needs a talking to and being told to get his head down and concentrate on his job.
